Ain't Nothing As Beautiful As She

by Desmond Allen

/

about

I wrote this one for my wife and about many of the travels we have experienced together.

lyrics

Wading in the tide near the San Francisco bay;
Arrived before dusk to watch the sunset alone.
And it was beautiful to see like that teenage girl, my wife to be.

Lying on the white sands near a lighthouse on Cape Cod;
Arrived before dawn to watch the sunrise alone.
And it was beautiful to see like the woman, my wife, beside me.

We’ve travel many highways, and we’ve been most ev’rywhere in this
big, wide country we call home. Camped Niagara Falls walked Hollywood and Vine.
Up to Seattle and down to New Orleans, Skied the Rocky Mountains and boated
in The Keys, but in the whole wide country ain’t nothing as beautiful as she.

Snuggling on the porch recalling places we have roamed;
Up before the dawn to watch the sunrise alone.
And it is beautiful to see like this lady, my wife, beside me.

As beautiful as this lady snuggling with me.
