In My Dreams and My Soul

about

One day the phrase "In a small cafe in German Town" popped into my head. I then proceeded to create this fictional tale.

lyrics

She’s in my dreams and in my soul, I wish that I had let her know
That she stole my heart and stole my soul. Oh, I wish that I’d never let her go.

In a small café in German Town I met a girl who spun me ‘round
Her golden hair and emerald eyes, and a voice of an angel’s sound

Seems like only yesterday she asked to sit down at my table
I told her that the chair was free then she asked to share a slice of pie with me
We laughed a bit at that then she asked if I had time to stay
For another cup of Joe before she had to go

She’s in my dreams and in my soul, I wish that I had let her know
That she stole my heart and stole my soul. Oh, I wish that I’d never let her go.

We left the café that day went our very separate ways
Never saw her face again but she’s in my dreams to stay

Seems like only yesterday she asked to sit down at my table
I told her that the chair was free then she asked to share a slice of pie with me

She’s in my dreams and in my soul; I wish that I had let her know
That she stole my heart and stole my soul. Oh, I wish that I’d never let her go.

Seems like only yesterday she asked to sit down at my table
I told her that the chair was free then she asked to share a slice of pie with me
