Jealous Hens

/

about

Two women fighting over a man

lyrics

Mary told Sally to stay away not to even look my way
I’ve put in the time that boy s mine
Don’t you even bat an eye next time

But Sally’s a girl who loves the strife she told Mary you’re not his wife
I don’t care about time you’ve spent with that man
I’m goinna chase him down and put a ring on his hand

The girls took to fightin’ late that night; I must say it was quite a sight
Mary grabbed a handful of Sally’s hair and Mary screamed don’t you dare!
They hit floor and I headed for the door.

Never saw either girl again; I can’t tell you how peaceful it’s been
Playing poker, drinking beer, and just hanging with the men
A Roster don’t need the noise of the jealous hens.
